About the position United Health Services is seeking a full-time Night Shift Physician Assistant (PA) in the Trauma Department to support the expansion of Trauma APP services. The role involves a training period of approximately six months during the day before transitioning to night shifts, working from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for 12-hour shifts, seven days every two weeks at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, New York. The position is open to both experienced and newly graduated PAs, as well as motivated critical care or surgical nurse practitioners with RNFA certification. Responsibilities • Provide medical care and support in the Trauma Department. , • Participate in the training program for six months before transitioning to night shifts. , • Communicate effectively with medical staff, healthcare clinicians, patients, families, and the public. , • Demonstrate clinical decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. Requirements • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program. , • Current NYS license. , • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification. , • ACLS and PALS Provider certifications. , • ATLS certification within 6 months of hire. , • Strong computer skills and ability to establish priorities. Nice-to-haves • Experience in critical care or surgical nursing. , • RNFA certification.
