HIRING IMMEDIATELY: ACCOUNTANT IN HOUSTON, TX Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Accountant to join our client in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, experienced in accounting processes, and able to handle various financial tasks with integrity. The right candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and month-end close. • Starting at $65,000 to $85,000/yearly
• Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision
• Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
• Located in Houston, TX

Duties and Responsibilities

• Month-End Close: Lead and ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end close procedures.
• Payroll Processing: Administer payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance with local and federal laws, and timely disbursement.
• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage day-to-day AP and AR functions, including invoicing, payments, collections, and ensuring proper documentation for all transactions.
• Contractor Payments: Ensure accurate and timely payments to contractors, adhering to company policies and agreements.
• Collections: Assist in the collection of overdue payments from clients while maintaining positive client relationships.
• Accounting Software: Use Dell Tech or Ageria software (or similar tools) to perform accounting tasks, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of accounting duties.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting team and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on AP, AR, payroll, and month-end close.
• Skill Set: Strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting software (Dell Tech, Ageria, or similar).
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with contractors, clients, and team members.
• Project or Engineering Background: Preferred experience in engineering or project-based industries.
• Work Ethic: Honest, reliable, and motivated to contribute to the company’s success without being overqualified for the position.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in engineering or project-related accounting environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
