MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 6:00 pm $20.00 per hour ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Repair, clean, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Observe mechanical devices in operation, identifying issues by listening for irregular sounds and inspecting components.
• Examine parts for defects and wear, assessing dimensional changes.
• Adjust and calibrate functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Test machinery performance after adjustments or repairs.
• Operate metalworking tools, including lathes, drill presses, and grinders, to fabricate and repair parts.
• Initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and equipment.
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques to determine root causes and implement solutions.
• Document repair actions daily.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to maintain plant equipment and property.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-7 years of related experience and/or training preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Strong written communication skills for reports and correspondence.
• Proficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret technical drawings and graphs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and determine solutions.
• Comfortable interpreting technical instructions in various formats.
• Physically capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. and frequently lifting 25 lbs.
• Able to work at heights using ladders, boom lifts, or scissor lifts.
