Step into a pivotal position within Spendesk’s payments ecosystem! As a Senior Product Manager for Cards Processing, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable transaction processing for businesses.

Your mission is to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and performance of Spendesk’s card processing capabilities while keeping us compliant with all regulatory standards.

You'll dive deep into the world of payment networks, card scheme integrations, banking APIs, and transaction flows. Your expertise will guide you in collaborating with various teams to drive innovation, optimise approval rates, and maintain system resilience. Together, we'll shape the future of Spendesk!

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Cards Processing roadmap
  • Ensure high reliability, scalability, and security of transaction processing.
  • Lead API-driven card issuance and processing
  • Integrate with banking partners, card schemes (Visa, Mastercard), and payment networks.
  • Optimize transaction authorisation, clearing, and settlement
  • Boost approval rates and minimize transaction failures.
  • Monitor system health
  • Define key performance metrics (e.g., approval rates, fraud detection) for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across teams
  • Work with Spendesk Financial Services to integrate compliance by design and mitigatefraud risks.
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years in Product Management
  • At least 3 years in Fintech, Payments, or a regulated financial services sector
  • Proven experience in card processing
  • Hands-on skills in integrating with card schemes, processors, and transaction monitoring tools
  • Strong technical fluency
  • Understanding of APIs, authorisation flows, and transaction lifecycles
  • Deep analytical skills
  • Ability to optimize processing KPIs and make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Align engineers, designers, and business teams to execute a clear strategy
