Job Overview Join our esteemed team as an Independent Mortgage Loan Officer, an essential role focused on guiding borrowers through the complex mortgage landscape. Key Responsibilities • Originate residential mortgage loans through self-generated leads. • Cultivate and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, financial planners, and individual borrowers. • Accurately gather and compile financial information from loan applicants. • Assist applicants with the loan application process, addressing queries and concerns. • Clearly explain various loan types and credit options to clients. • Review loan agreements for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with all legal regulations and company policies. • Deliver outstanding service to clients to foster trust and satisfaction. • Manage a loan pipeline to guarantee timely funding and successful closings. • Collaborate with corporate functions to enhance loan servicing processes. • Stay informed on new loan products and financial services to identify potential market opportunities. Required Skills • Valid NMLS state and federal license. • In-depth knowledge of conventional and government lending guidelines. • Familiarity with processing, underwriting, and closing procedures. • Strong orientation towards teamwork and customer service. • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills. • Proficiency in MS applications and technology for effective communication. • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Capability to analyze intricate financial data and propose alternatives. Compensation

And Benefits • This is a full commission-based role without a draw. • Warm and cold leads are provided. • Competitive compensation for independent contractors with active files or relevant experience. • Flexible work arrangements available: remote, in-office (Los Angeles or Santa Ana), or hybrid. • Commission rates as high as 5 points (500 bps) on FHA/VA loans and up to 6 points (600 bps) for conventional loans. • Brokered loans pay between 125 to 150 bps.
