Job Overview We are currently in search of a meticulous and proficient Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to deliver comprehensive bookkeeping solutions to a diverse portfolio of individual and business clients spanning various sectors. Key Responsibilities • Deliver bookkeeping services for a wide array of clients, ensuring accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. • Process client payroll and payroll taxes, including W-2, 1099, quarterly, and annual returns. • Carry out general accounting functions, such as transaction entry and reconciliation of general ledger, credit card, and cash accounts. • Manage accounts payable, including verifying, completing, and reconciling invoice payments to ensure accurate account allocations. • Oversee accounts receivable to guarantee accurate financial reporting. • Utilize accounting software tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, and CFS. • Prepare and file sales tax returns for business clients. Required Skills • Strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and analytical expertise. • Proficiency with accounting software and a quick aptitude for learning new systems. • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. • Solid problem-solving capabilities with the ability to independently manage projects. • Experience in multi-state payroll processing. Qualifications • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting is required.
