Job Description - Claims Adjuster – Attorney Represented Injury (239769) Job Number 239769 This position is available in Riverside, Irvine, San Diego, Pasadena, Torrance, Thousand Oaks, Sherman Oaks, Fresno, Modesto, Sacramento, and Concord, CA. As a claims adjuster specialist, you’ll play a critical role managing attorney represented bodily injury (BI) claims. An ideal candidate will have experience managing an inventory independently, assessing and evaluating liability, coverage, and damages, as well as working directly with attorneys to negotiate and settle claims. This is a hybrid role. You’ll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration, and will have the benefit of continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in-office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office more than four days per month. Duties & Responsibilities • Determine coverage and liability • Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys • Settle claims and set reserves • Estimate cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents • Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution • Interview, collect, and document information from various parties such as claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police Must-Have Qualifications • Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling OR • One year in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR • Three years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling and an associate degree Preferred Skills Auto and/or commercial insurance experience Compensation • $29.52 - $38.17/hour depending on experience for Fresno area • $32.45 - $41.97/hour depending on experience for Riverside, Irvine, San Diego, Modesto, and Sacramento area • $35.43 - $45.87/hour depending on experience for Pasadena, Torrance, Sherman Oaks, Thousand Oaks, and Concord area • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 16% of your eligible earnings, based on company performance • 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar company match up to 6% • Medical, dental & vision, including free preventative care • Health care flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, & life insurance • Paid & unpaid sick leave where applicable, as well as short & long-term disability • Parental & family leave; military leave & pay • Diverse, inclusive & welcoming culture with Employee Resource Groups Energage recognizes Progressive as a 2024 Top Workplace for: Innovation, Purposes & Values, Work-Life Flexibility, Compensation & Benefits, and Leadership.
