Mortgage Loan Processor Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Processor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the loan processing workflow, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected, verified, and submitted in a timely manner. This role requires a strong understanding of mortgage lending processes and regulations, as well as excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, loan officers, and underwriting teams. Responsibilities • Review loan applications and ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate. • Communicate with loan officers to gather additional information or clarify details as needed. • Process loans in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including TILA and FNMA guidelines. • Perform basic math calculations to verify financial data and ensure accuracy in loan processing. • Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry of loan information into the system. • Coordinate with escrow agents to facilitate the closing process. • Assist in underwriting by preparing files for review and addressing any outstanding conditions. • Maintain organized records of all transactions and communications throughout the loan process. • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and keeping them informed of their loan status. Qualifications • Previous experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar mortgage processing role is preferred. • Strong knowledge of loan origination and processing procedures. • Familiarity with escrow processes and underwriting standards is a plus. • Proficient in basic math skills for accurate financial calculations. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple files simultaneously. • Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively.
