About the position The Azure Architect position at Cognizant is a remote role focused on designing and developing modern data platforms using Azure technologies. The role involves translating technical design documents into actionable tasks for developers, collaborating with operations to enhance deployment standards, and providing technical leadership in data analytics. The architect will work closely with both IT and business stakeholders to solve complex data-related challenges and implement governance standards to ensure operational excellence. Responsibilities • Translate technical design documents into technical stories for developers. , • Collaborate with operations to improve deployment standards for production code. , • Manage an onsite/offshore delivery model. , • Interact with IT and business stakeholders for problem-solving on data-related use cases. , • Define and implement governance standards to mitigate operational entropy. , • Implement and improve high-quality coding standards through reviews. , • Provide data analytics technical leadership in collaboration with other IT teams. Requirements • 10+ years of relevant IT experience. , • 3+ years of experience in designing and developing modern data platforms with Azure technologies. , • Strong background in Databricks Workspace Admin, Databricks CLI, Databricks SQL, Databricks Workflows, and PySpark. , • Advanced knowledge of Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory. , • Solid experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. , • Experience in software development using Agile methodology. , • Strong performance tuning experience on database and ETL design. , • Ability to perform efficient data analysis and translate business rules into SQL queries.
