Senior Accounting Specialist - AP, AR, and Payroll

Description We are seeking a highly organized and experienced AP/AR/Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, preferably within the hospitality industry. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to our mission-driven community and help us grow our Accounting Department. Skills • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and regulations. • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to solve practical problems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software like Dynamics GP 2018. • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. • Ability to work additional hours to meet deadlines, including weekends. Responsibilities • Process accounts payable, sales receipts, and payroll. • Act as the primary contact for accounts payable for vendors, management, and project managers. • Maintain vendor records, track receipts of goods and services, and reconcile invoices. • Prepare and mail payments and provide monthly accounts payable reports. • Process sales receipts, prepare daily bank deposits, and reconcile daily sales. • Prepare bi-weekly payroll, maintain employee timesheets, and process payroll tax returns. • Communicate effectively with team members and management. • Participate in cross-training and other accounting functions as needed. Qualifications • Minimum 18 credits in Accounting or Business. • 5+ years of progressive accounting and payroll processing experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
