About the position As a Business Insurance Agent at USAA, you will operate in an inbound sales environment, advising business owners on insurance and risk management. Utilizing a comprehensive suite of Commercial Insurance Products, you will tailor solutions to meet the unique risk profiles of both members and non-members. This role involves taking incoming calls, conducting follow-ups, and collaborating with insurance carriers to ensure optimal coverage for clients. You will receive extensive training to familiarize yourself with USAA's offerings and will work remotely while occasionally traveling for business. Responsibilities • Use a consultative approach to determine customer needs and provide tailored insurance solutions. , • Build and maintain relationships with members, non-members, and insurance carriers. , • Limit agency Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure through proper documentation and compliance with insurance standards. , • Classify businesses and provide accurate risk management solutions based on their profiles. , • Facilitate account reviews and provide consultative advice based on risk profiles and renewal cycles. , • Research industry trends and regulatory changes to enhance technical knowledge. , • Utilize Agency Management Systems and CRM tools to select appropriate products and carriers. , • Negotiate with underwriters on endorsements and renewal questions. , • Calculate Insurance to Value (ITV) for various property types and structures. , • Provide account services including policy changes, renewals, and cancellations. , • Ensure effective identification and management of risks associated with business activities. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED. , • 2 years of insurance sales and service experience in a commercial insurance or broker agency setting. , • Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for home state or ability to obtain it within 90 days. , • Excellent communication and customer service skills. Nice-to-haves • 4 or more years of Commercial Lines Insurance account management experience. , • Experience quoting and binding directly with insured clients. , • Familiarity with Agency Management Systems and Salesforce. , • Experience in a multiple carrier environment.
