Part-Time Restaurant Bookkeeper - Slows Bar BQ - Detroit, MI - work from home job Company: Slows Bar BQ Job description: Slows Bar BQ, is seeking a Part-Time Restaurant Bookkeeper to join our team. As the Restaurant Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, creating financial reports, and maintaining accurate records. Our ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who possesses strong organizational skills and is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Slows Bar BQ takes pride in our commitment to community, craft beer, and chef-driven barbecue, operating three brick and mortar locations, as well as a catering and carryout outpost and immensely popular food trucks. Responsibilities • Managing and recording financial transactions • Maintaining accurate financial records • Generating regular and timely financial reports • Creating and implementing bookkeeping procedures • Assisting with billing, invoicing, and accounts payable • Make and track appropriate sales and use tax payments • Work with external vendors to resolve invoice inaccuracies • Coordinating with accountants during tax season • Handling company payroll Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • 2+ years of accounts payable & receivable, general ledger and payroll experience in a professional environment • Strong computer and organizational skills • Attention to detail and ability to multitask • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Familiarity with financial software and applications (R365 preferred) • Ability to work flexible hours if required
