About the position We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join our team at El Gaucho Seattle. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and providing support to our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have restaurant bookkeeping experience, be a self-starter, and possess high integrity, contributing positively to our work environment. Responsibilities Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements. , Provide prompt, extraordinary service to guests, peers, and co-workers. , Reconcile and balance staff turn-in reports and commissions, checking discounts and house charges for accuracy. , Maintain recordkeeping systems for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting associated filings. , Maintain accuracy of cash balances for tills, petty cash, and safe. , Process Accounts Payable and review purchases for accuracy of coding. , Reconcile financial transactions with separately owned hotel, including catering, events, and room charges. , Maintain, track, and ensure accuracy of the loyalty program. , Review and maintain personnel records in POS, ensuring all termination, rate changes, and new hire paperwork are up to date and complete. , Support HR with benefits and payroll processes. , Maintain and publish financial reporting spreadsheets. , Answer phones and manage guest reservations as needed. , Meet or exceed all deadlines. , Complete other projects and duties as assigned. Requirements Restaurant bookkeeping experience. , Self-starter and resourceful. , High integrity and ability to lead others in a positive work environment. , Accurate cash handling and sales reconciliation experience.
