Finance and Accounting Manager (Remote)

Pareto is pleased to announce that a company with which we partner is looking to hire an Accounting & Finance Manager to join their team. This is a REMOTE opportunity. Must be located in the US. Previous experience in a SAAS environment and public accounting is highly desirable. POSITION: Finance & Accounting Manager LOCATION: Remote, USA-based COMP: Base salary $90-$110k plus equity potential Responsibilities: • As the Finance and Accounting Manager, you will own critical accounting processes, support FP&A activities, and collaborate across teams to improve operations as our business grows. You’ll be a trusted partner to multiple stakeholders, leveraging your skills and intellectual curiosity to make meaningful contributions to the company’s success. • Month-End Close Cycle: Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of general journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly analytics. Oversee month-end accrual processes for all functional areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Accounting and Controls: Own specific close processes and implement accounting controls to achieve a GAAP-compliant close. Research and apply revenue accounting principles to complex transactions. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies across the organization. • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders through financial analytics. • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and other areas to provide accounting and finance support. Partner with teams to implement and maintain scalable processes, policies, and controls. • Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by preparing key information and documentation. Maintain relationships with third-party payroll providers and public accounting firms. • Process Improvement: Continuously improve finance and accounting processes to support scalability as the company grows. Assist with ERP and other system implementations to enhance operational efficiency. • Special Projects: Lead or participate in ad hoc projects to support the evolving needs of the business. Qualifications: • 4+ years of accounting experience, including month/year-end close, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations. • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Experience in a SaaS company is highly preferred. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUPs). • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software. • Ability to work across different time zones with team members in various locations. • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems with curiosity and analytical rigor. • Precision and thoroughness in financial processes and reporting. • Commitment to ethical standards and acting as a trusted steward of financial information. • Enthusiasm for taking on increasing responsibility as the business evolves. • Ability to work effectively across teams and independently.
