School-Based Special Education Teacher Blazer Jobs is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to work in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will create a supportive learning environment tailored to the diverse needs of students, empowering them to achieve academic, social, and developmental success. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific learning needs of students. • Modify and adapt general education curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. • Provide small group or one-on-one instruction to ensure student progress and mastery of goals. • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, and families to provide an inclusive and supportive educational experience. • Monitor and assess student progress through data collection and prepare timely reports documenting their development. • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development as required. • Foster a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment conducive to learning. • Use appropriate behavioral management strategies to address challenges and promote success in the classroom. • Ensure compliance with state and federal education laws and maintain accurate student records. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. • Active state teaching certification/licensure with an endorsement in special education (varies based on state). • Master’s degree preferred but not required. • Previous experience working in a school-based environment is preferred. • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation. • Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaboration skills to effectively support students and teams. • Ability to adapt and create lesson plans that accommodate student needs.
