GMAT/GRE Tutor, Full Test (Remote)

TPAPT, a national consortium of over 12,000 local tutors, IECs, and test prep professionals has a chapter that is hiring for a GMAT/GRE Tutor! Experience tutoring all sections of the GMAT and GRE is a prerequisite. About the position: • Tutoring can take place at any time of day, so the work hours are flexible (though most of the tutoring will be in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends). • Pay will start at $100/hr • Position. is classified as PT Employee (W2) • Looking for folks who can commit to at least 1 year of assignments What the successful hire can expect: • An initial training period in which the tutor will learn more about the GMAT and GRE and how to teach them (this will take time, so patience is necessary) • A probationary period with limited tutoring assignments (tutors need to demonstrate excellence before taking on a full load of tutoring) • Excellent compensation • Regular "tutor development" meetings • Support throughout the journey of becoming a great GMAT/GRE tutor • Non-tutoring opportunities such as curriculum development, tutor training, etc • To become part of an enterprise whose goal it is to not only help students score higher on standardized tests but also teach people how to think more critically and problem solve more effectively • To be challenged, to learn a lot, and to have fun! Requirements • A passion for teaching (and learning too!) • Previous teaching/tutoring experience with the GMAT or GRE • 750+ on the "Classic" GMAT, 705+ on the current GMAT, or 333+ on the GRE (proof of one's score is required) • Commitment to staying on board for at least a few years • Availability and desire to tutor 10 to 20 hours per week • Great teaching instincts and ability to explain concepts in a variety of ways • Good interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students • Compassionate/understanding attitude and great perceptive ability • Willingness to learn new methods and approaches to tutoring • Collaborative spirit and willingness to also sharenew ideas that can make the rest of the tutors better Benefits • Paid training • Materials • Dependable weekly demand • $100/hr - $120/hr commensurate Apply Job!
