We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with students of various ages, including preschoolers and those with special education needs, to enhance their learning experience in subjects such as English and foreign languages like French and Japanese. The Tutor will also contribute to curriculum development to ensure that lessons are engaging and effective. Duties • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and student learning objectives. • Assist students in understanding complex concepts in subjects including English, Reading and writing. • Support students with special education requirements by adapting teaching methods accordingly. • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve academically. • Engage students in interactive learning activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence. • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement. Qualifications • Proven experience working with students in a classroom or tutoring setting. • Strong knowledge of curriculum development practices. • Proficiency in English. • Experience in special education is highly desirable. • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • A passion for educating and inspiring students to reach their full potential. • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students effectively.
