Warehouse Associate at The Home Depot
As a Warehouse Associate at The Home Depot, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, handling, storing, and preparing products for shipment. Key Responsibilities Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area. Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department. Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure safety and efficiency of warehouse operations. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management. Experience No prior experience necessary; on-the-job training provided. Working Hours Full-time positions available with flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of safety procedures while performing tasks in a warehouse environment. Ability to follow instructions and operate warehouse equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
