You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, ensuring that all health care services provided at Bristol Hospital are accurately documented. Key Responsibilities: Transcription Functions: Transcribe medical and related information from physician's notes/dictation. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to ensure accurate documentation. Confer with pathologists to clarify unclear terminology or other questionable information. General Clerical Functions: Pull slides and blocks for patient referral, clinician referral, and diagnostic testing. File surgical slides and blocks. Scan reference lab reports, physician orders, and documents into patient records. Retrieve slides for tumor board conferences. Pull monthly pathology department statistics. Facilitate surgical slides to pathologists. Accession surgical specimens as needed. Perform various clerical duties as required. Apply Job!
