Behavior Technician (Entry Level)

This is an entry level position to join our team, where you will receive training to be a Behavior Technician. You will be working one-on-one with a child with autism, providing direct client care and executing interventions that discourage negative behavior and encourage positive behavior that improve upon client communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. This position collects and records data based on client behavior and ongoing progress. We are looking for individuals that want to build a career and grow with us. We also strive to have all of our Behavior Technicians trained and certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within 6 months of hire. Applicants must be very reliable (show up to work on time and few absences), have some childcare experience, want to stay at the company long term, and have a passion to work with children with special needs. Required Qualifications • Some experience with childcare. • Consistency, responsibility, punctuality and reliable attendance. • A passion to work one-on-one with children with autism. • Excellent customer care, customer service, computer, organization, time management, writing, and verbal communications skills. • Ability to meet assigned goals. • Ability to pass a background check. • Hold a High School Diploma, or equivalent. • Proof of employment eligibility/work authorization. Advantageous Qualifications • Stable job history. • An existing certification in First Aid and CPR • Completion of some college coursework in Psychology, Education, Social Work or another human services field. • Ability to speak multiple languages.
