Sr. Engineering Specialist

Under limited supervision, performs one or more of the following activities: configuration management, system administration, security administration, network administration, development system implementation, production system implementation. Responds to issues related to environment, hardware, system, and/or software and implements resolution across technology areas. Supports multiple systems simultaneously, and provides leadership for large project efforts. Provide support or lead activities related to change management, outage management and/or project management. Requirements ?Master’s degree Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of work experience in information technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of work experience in information technology or engineering environment., in lieu of a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience. The position requires experience with: Database - Oracle DB, Teradata, Netezza, MSSQL, Toad SQL developer, PL/SQL scripting, Indexing, performance tunning; Business intelligence - OBIEE, Spotfire, Tableau, power BI; Standalone - OBIA, OFSAA; Angular - JavaScript, Typescript, HTML and CSS, NPM, Angular CLI; OS - Windows, RHEL , shell script, cyber security knowledge, SSL certs, log4J, monitoring and logging, user group managing, systems administration; Backend - spring framework, Hibernate, RESTful web services, SQL and DB management, OOPs, Git & Version control, Microservices architecture; Devsecops - Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Groovy scripting, udeploy, docker, kubernetes, CBFlow cloud technologies – OCI. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.
