United States, Georgia, Atlanta Ops Control... 05-Nov-2024 Ref #: 26702 How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) As an Assistant Flight Superintendent, you will support Flight Superintendents, Senior Flight Superintendents, Sector Managers and external customers by gathering and disseminating information in support of the daily flight operation. Additionally, you will assist Flight Superintendents with operational issues, including monitoring the progress and safety of Delta’s flights. Other responsibilities may also include administrative duties, updating manuals and implementing the overtime program. This position emphasizes safety-conscious behaviors across all areas of the operation. In this role, you must demonstrate exceptional leadership, management and administrative abilities, along with strong interpersonal skills. Additionally, you must be able to perform under pressure and possess the ability to analyze large amounts of disparate information, draw conclusions, and act in a timely manner while handling multiple tasks and continually changing priorities. The Assistant Flight Superintendent position serves as the entry level position to Flight Control, with advancement opportunity to the Flight Superintendent position. Flight Superintendents provide dispatching and operational control over Delta’s daily flight operation in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and Delta company policy in pursuit of the highest possible level of air safety. Successful candidates must complete a rigorous licensing process to obtain required certification. The starting base salary will be $7,739 monthly ($92,868 annually). What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications) • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays • Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data • High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency. • Be able to pass an audiogram • Be at least 23 years of age per FAA regulations. • Be authorized to work in the US. • Must successfully pass assessment requirements. • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate or enrollment in a FAA approved Aircraft Dispatcher certification course that must be completed by December 31, 2024. • If current Delta Employee, must be in good standing in current position (no formal performance development – Written Coaching Letter, Corrective Action Notice, or Final Corrective Action notice - within the past 6 months). What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications) • Operational and passenger service experience along with supervisory experience is highly desirable. • Knowledge of meteorology, Federal Aviation Regulations and previous flying experience is beneficial. • Flying experience (private, instrument, commercial pilot certificate).
