Virtual Equine Teachers
Job Description: Christine Santos LLC is currently seeking experienced and dynamic virtual teachers to join our team on a 1099 contract basis. We are looking for educators with a passion for interactive, engaging, and innovative teaching methods. Our focus is on hiring equine teachers with at least a Bachelors in animal science or similar degree who can deliver game-based, project-oriented, and... Socratic-style lessons. Available Classes: We are currently hiring for the following classes. These are not in person riding lessons nor virtual riding lessons. These classes are academic based. Additional opportunities to create classes based on your passion and credentials may be available, as well as the need for additional sections of current classes not listed. Equine Nutrition for Ages 13-18 Equine Behavior for Ages 12-17 Intro to Vet Med for Ages 13-18 Intro to Anatomy for Ages 13-18 Key Responsibilities: Teaching Format: Each class is 30 minutes long, meeting once a week, with a maximum of 4 learners per session. You must be proficient in delivering short, impactful lessons within this timeframe. You will only have 4 learners max in each class. Interactive Teaching: Our teaching approach emphasizes gamified learning, project-based activities, and Socratic dialogue. We are not looking for traditional lecture-based methods; instead, we require creative use of all available virtual learning tools. Outside Responsibilities: You will be responsible for creating gamified lesson plans, as well as handling additional tasks like homework creation, progress reports, and assessments. These additional responsibilities are not included in the classroom teaching rate but do not require extensive time outside of class. More details will be discussed during the interview process. Parent Communication: You will need to maintain regular communication with parents regarding their childs progress. 1:1 Teaching: To qualify for 1:1 sessions, you must also be able to teach group classes. Compensation: Group Classes: Compensation information will be discussed in the first email. Active Teaching Time: Only active teaching time is counted for the project rate. Additional responsibilities outside of class are not included in this rate. Work Schedule: Flexible Hours: As a 1099 contractor, you have the freedom to create your own schedule. However, we prefer to run classes between 9 AM and 7 PM Eastern Time. No Marketing Needed: There is no marketing necessary for this opportunity. Consistency: We cannot guarantee that all classes will run or run consistently, but we do our best to fill the seats. Requirements: Must reside in the United States with a valid Social Security Number. Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science or similar Extensive experience in virtual teaching, including the use of interactive games and tools. Ability to create gamified lesson plans and implement the latest virtual teaching techniques. Experience in educating children aged 3-18 years. Must not have taught on Outschool before. Commitment to the school year and a consistent schedule. Additional Information: This position is ideal for educators seeking part-time work while maintaining a full-time role elsewhere (if desired). Classes will be hosted on Outschool. No prior experience with this platform is required; all necessary information will be provided during our group information session. Video Requirements: Candidates must complete a one-way video interview as the first step in the hiring process as well as prepared to submit a video bio for their profile. Cancellations and Rescheduling: Must be kept to a minimum; otherwise, the contract may be voided.
