Top Tier GENERAL Transcriptionist - virtual
CAN WORK ANYWHERE IN THE US. ABSOLUTELY MUST BE A UNITED STATES RESIDENT. We are looking to add another top tier transcriptionist to our team. Must be experienced in professional GENERAL transcription, slang, accents, focus groups, (even though most of our work is in the United States and interviews). This is NOT an entry level position. There are occasionally we hire entry level. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE TIMES. *If you do not read this entire job description AND answer the questions laid out, your resume will absolutely NOT be considered** Please also note that while medical transcription is a wonderful skill, and the vocabulary knowledge can certainly be helpful, we are specifically looking for people with GENERAL transcription experience. It is truly a different animal (surprisingly so). We're currently ONLY looking for people who MOST weeks can do 300 minutes of audio per week (ideally more, but this is the minimum). We don't care which days, you can divide it up any way... you want between all seven days. And we don't expect it to be every SINGLE week. And to be clear, we're also not guaranteeing we always have that much work, although we absolutely usually do. No promises on either side for every week, life ebbs and flows, and business is certainly feast and famine. But in general, we're looking for people who want to take on regular work. And we have incentives to do so. (obviously, the work still have to be impeccable) Our transcripts get USED. They aren't just a box being checked. We work mostly with medical, academic and social research teams. We are part of a process that moves knowledge forward. That means we have a higher standard of accuracy than most general transcription companies. But we also do work you can be proud of. Your work will make a difference. We have the BEST team in the world. We are a bit different (or we like to think so). The common business model for transcription companies is to have large groups of nameless transcriptionists that no one really knows. We don't operate like that. We work with research institutions across the globe. This is work you can be PROUD you are a part of. MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS (if you do not have these, your resume will NOT be considered, there are NO EXCEPTIONS) -- This position will only be filled with an EXPERIENCED GENERAL transcriptionist, with exceptional accuracy, attention to detail and willingness to work as a part of an important team. Medical transcriptionists are wonderful, but it's truly a different skill. -- Transcriptionist must be looking to take on 5 hours of AUDIO per week, most weeks.
