Job Details: • Position: Special Education Teacher • Location: Iowa (VocoVision) • Employment Type: Full-time • Student Level: K-12 • Reports to: Director of Special Education Services Responsibilities: • Deliver personalized and engaging instruction to students with special needs in a classroom setting. • Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans and materials that cater to diverse learning abilities. • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and fellow educators to create and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). • Utilize innovative teaching techniques and resources to address individual learning styles and challenges. • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track achievements in alignment with IEP goals. • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes students' social and academic growth. • Stay informed about best practices in special education and employ creative approaches to meet students' needs. Requirements: • Valid Iowa teaching certification with a special education endorsement. • Demonstrated experience and expertise in teaching students with special needs. • Profound understanding of IEP development, implementation, and assessment. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, and school staff. • Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting students' holistic development. • Enthusiasm for utilizing various teaching methodologies and adaptive technologies. • Dedication to creating a safe and inclusive classroom that fosters an environment of respect and growth.
