Millions of customers depend on our databases. The Database Infrastructure Operation team builds the physical infrastructure required to deploy and support databases. This includes the physical hardware, network configurations, security, DBMS install and configuration, application connectivity and availability of the platforms. We deploy numerous database systems including Oracle, Cassandra, PostGreSQL, MySQL, MemSQL and others. Cross learning and collaboration is encouraged in our team environment. This role is responsible for the technical build and deploy of hosted database systems. Perform as an entry level infrastructure DBA relating to initial build, deploy and ongoing maintenance of the DBMS systems. Will be exposed to OS and DBMS configuration, deployment, problem analysis, modifications, implementation, and maintenance of databases and database infrastructure. Will be required to provide production infrastructure support and on call support as it pertains to database systems and availability. Build a strong infrastructure and a solid career. Here’s Just Some Of What You’ll Do The best infrastructure isn’t built in a day or even a year and it’s certainly not built without a team. • Develop automation tools to improve the time to market and time to repair systems • Contribute to the analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements. • Design, build, enhance and integrate the infrastructure required to support various database platforms and our business portfolio • Support initiatives that deliver workable end-to-end database infrastructure solutions

Minimum Qualifications

Are you up for the challenge? Strongly prefer Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or applicable Software Engineering as it pertains to databases. Programming or developer skills utilizing Python, Java, or Shell scripting required. Should have a proven understanding of the Linux based operating system and have had some experience, work or school, on database systems. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
