Job Description:

As a Transit Driver, you will be responsible for operating various types of transit vehicles along specific routes in accordance with a set schedule. You’ll work to ensure safe and timely transportation for all passengers, maintain professionalism and courtesy, and adhere to all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities:

– Operate buses along designated routes.

– Assist passengers with entry and exit, including those with special needs.

– Maintain communication with central dispatch.

– Ensure vehicle is clean and presentable at all times.

– Collect fares, issue receipts, and provide information on schedules and routes.

– Adhere to all traffic regulations.

Qualifications:

– High School diploma or equivalent.

– A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger and air-brake endorsements.

– Excellent communication skills.

– Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug test.

– Must be at least 21 years old.

Experience:

Prior experience in public transportation or customer service is a plus, but not necessary. Paid training will be provided to the right candidate.
