Salary Unit: $15 – $17 per hour
Working Hours: Up to 4 hours per day

Job Description:
The Library Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to assist in the daily operations of the library. Your primary duties will include helping patrons locate materials, checking materials in and out, reshelving books, assisting with library programs and events, and answering patron questions.
Requirements/Responsibilities:
– Provide excellent customer service to all library patrons
– Assist patrons in finding and using library resources, including books, electronic resources, and library services
– Check in and shelve returned items
– Assist with library programming and events
– Maintain a clean and organized library environment
– Ensure all library rules and policies are upheld
– Handle administrative tasks as needed
Educational Qualification:
– High school diploma or equivalent is required
– A degree in library science or a similar field is a plus, but not required
Experience:
– Previous experience in a library setting is preferred but not required
– Customer service experience is highly desirable
