Medical Transcriptionist Independent/Subcontractor REMOTE

We currently have part time (15-32 hours/week) and full time (32+ hours/week) subcontractor positions available at a starting rate of $14/hour. Days/hours arranged to fit your schedule. Requirements: • High school or equivalent • Must be a verifiable United States citizen and live within the USA • Excellent verbal, written, grammatical, punctuation, and proofreading skills • Must be a trained/certified medical transcriptionist able to transcribe medical dictation • Experience producing summary minutes not required but it will be necessary to learn this skill • Must sign confidentiality agreement • Must comply with clients’ regulations, policies, and procedures Responsibilities: • Transcribe medical dictation with absolute accuracy • High degree of familiarity with grammar, spelling, and sentence structure • Provide digital copies of transcribed documents/transcripts • Re-listen to audio files while proofreading transcribed reports/transcripts • Effectively, skillfully, and efficiently operate designated word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment as directed to complete assignments • Follow policies and procedures, seeking assistance and clarification to resolve problems • Expand job-related knowledge and skills to improve performance and adjust to change • Maintain personal computer equipment and/or software, which can include word processing and computer software, medical references, and other technologies • Maintain strict adherence to client confidentiality according to provider standards and government regulations Rewards: • Work from home • Better work-life balance • Eliminate commuter stress and wasted time • Save commuter $ • Location independence • Money savings – clothes/lunch costs/child care • Flexible schedule • Better focus • No office politics • Interesting field of opportunities All candidates must have excellent verbal, written, grammatical, punctuation, and proofreading skills and the ability to follow instructions.
