Hotel Director of Finance - Part-Time Remote Join Strategic Solution Partners (SSP) as a part-time Director of Finance consultant within the SSP organization and play a critical role in maximizing the return on financial assets and revenue optimization.Their oversight of financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems will ensure the ongoing evolution of the financial support... Job Summary: This role is an integral part of the SSP Advisory Board. The active partition in, and contribution to, the high-level strategy development, is key to the companys long-term viability. On an ongoing basis, the contributions of this Role to strategy adjustments ensures timely course corrections maintaining the required financial stability. Additionally, this position ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. It also is responsible for detailed reconciliation/critique of the financial performance. Lastly, this position must retain a high level of integrity, trust, and confidentiality in alignment with our Mission, our Vision, and our Values. Management of the entire Finance Department within SSP. Financial Planning: Assisting the company in making long-term financial decisions Cost Accounting Risk Management: Managing risk and capital Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues Analyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining financial objectives Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls Maintain compliance with Company standards and regulations Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts Support month-end and year-end close process Advise on Tax Savings/implications Advisory Board Participation Strategy Development participation for SSP Systems advice/participation in upgrades Project Mgmt. /Development Professional Development Enterprise-wide process improvements and efficiencies Be a valuable resource for the company and its staff Approval of the finance teams biweekly invoices and requests for additional hours Handle active job placements during times of transitions, absences, etc. Qualifications: 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience Proven working experience as a Financial Director Leadership/department-head level experience is necessary. Direct experience with all aspects of accounting and consulting Advanced degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA preferred but not necessary Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with review and analytics of financial statements. Experience/excellent knowledge of financial reporting functions and the month-end/year end close process. Demonstration of systems/business acumen relative to scope of work Creative and innovative problem solver Ability to adapt quickly and perform under high expectations. Ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure Ability to meet deadlines and embrace ongoing change Requires excellent organization, time management, interpersonal skills.
