The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of our financial operations, including financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere and directly impact our company's financial health and growth. Responsibilities: As a Permanent Controller, your key responsibilities will include: 1. Overseeing all financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and general ledger. 2. Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and projections to stakeholders. 3. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances. 4. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements. 5. Implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with financial policies and GAAP. 6. Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth. 7. Working closely with senior leadership to formulate the company's future direction and support tactical initiatives. 8. Monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic business plans. 9. Managing risks affecting the company's finances and ensuring all activities are compliant with financial laws and regulations. 10. Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal controls. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Permanent Controller role should have the following qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA, CMA, or similar certification would be a plus. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position. 3. Proven experience in financial reporting, accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting. 4. Solid knowledge of financial management, strategic planning, risk management, and financial auditing. 5. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills. 6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses. 7. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage and direct a team. 8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audience. 9. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a changing environment. 10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
