Senior UX Designer - Part-time

We are currently seeking a Senior UX Designer responsible for creating the best user experience and product design in collaborating with product managers and engineers. Deliverables include various UX Design artifacts such as user behavior research, personas, customer journeys, pain point analysis, sketches, wireframes, user testing, information architecture, design comps, and prototypes. In... addition, this position will be responsible for educating various departments across the organization in user experience design, methodologies and design thinking. Duties: Take ownership and improve the User Experience for our suite of Software as a Service products Advocate and responsibly educate across the organization in UX design methodologies and design thinking Lead UX Design activities such as contextual inquiry, user testing, user analytics, and workshops Deliver intuitive flow diagrams, sketches, wireframes, mockups, prototypes interaction storyboards, and other web and mobile design deliverables that guide creative, content, and development efforts Practice a highly efficient, iterative design process with light documentation Drive design discussions and collaborative workshops with teams and stakeholders, helping generate concepts and inspire peers and teams Play a senior role in the delivery of outstanding experiences and results, working collaboratively within a cross-disciplinary team that includes product management, product engineers, and developers Provide interaction/visual guidelines and specification with wireframes and comps to development teams including working with offshore teams Confidently present design decisions to teams and stakeholders, articulating and rationalizing needs against user insights and business goals Assist in the planning and estimating of design activities, participating in broader work stream coordination and expectation setting Maintain an awareness of industry and UX trends, sharing with peers and the broader community and leveraging them within the design lifecycle Requirements: 6+ years of progressive as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role. UX design experience for software and web applications which leverage emergent technologies and mobile devices B.S. degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors & Usability, or related field or other relevant experience; Masters Degree preferred An exceptional portfolio demonstrating design thinking, expertise and innovation, including customer journey diagram, sketches, comp designs, and wireframes for multiple form factors and platforms (Please share a link to your portfolio when submitting your resume.) Experience designing for complex, interactive web based software products and mobile apps Expert to create wireframes as well as visual design comps Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles, web design best practices, visual trends and emerging web technologies.
