Location Remote within the United States of America LDMTS, Inc. is seeking experienced virtual medical scribes or experienced medical transcriptionists and other qualified medical professionals who have a strong desire and commitment to learn to scribe. As one of our Scribes, you become a physicians direct personal assistant helping providers document charts for their patients. Come join our growing family! Position Summary The Virtual Medical Scribe ensures accurate and timely documentation of the medical chart by accompanying the physician virtually during patient encounters. The Scribe works alongside the provider and assists by recording detailed information discussed during the encounter to document the electronic medical record (EMR) on behalf of the provider. Our scribes are assigned to providers, allowing the scribe to intricately learn the provider's habits and preferences in order to provide the best quality services to that provider. The Virtual Medical Scribe increases provider effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity for improved patient flow and satisfaction. Plenty of work availability. Hours of Operation: Must offer dependable and consistent availability and be available for at least 4 hours each day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9AM-8PM EST; flexibility sometimes needed to accommodate the provider's schedule and workload. As an independent contractor, you are self-employed and define your availability within the hours of our business needs. Because our scribes are assigned to work alongside specific providers, it is expected that the agreed-upon availability will be honored, or adequate notice will be provided to arrange coverage in your absence. Do not apply if you cannot define or consistently work the hours of availability you provide. Education/Experience · Minimum high school or equivalent degree (experience will be considered in lieu of education). · 6 months or more of recent medical scribe experience - or · 5+ years of recent medical transcription experience with 99% quality average or higher - or · 2+ years of recent healthcare experience in acute or clinical settings with prior course completion in Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology Skills & Qualifications · Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm · Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, medications, abbreviations, charting, etc. · Excellent listening skills and ability to understand diverse accents and dialects of physicians, their staff and patients. · Excellent professional writing skills, including advanced proficiency in English grammar and spelling. · Skilled in operating a personal computer, related software applications, various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs. · Able to work independently with minimal supervision. · Attention to detail · Currently live within the borders of the United States. · Able to pass background/education/prior employment checks. Technical/Computer Requirements: · Reliable high-speed internet connection (WIFI or ethernet) · Minimum download speed of 20 Mbps and upload of 4 Mbps. · Fiber, Cable, and 5G mobile provide the best performance. · LTE/4G (wireless card or mobile hotspot) may be acceptable if they meet the speed and latency requirements. · Satellite, DSL and dial-up will not provide adequate speed and latency. · Laptop or desktop with updated security. · Computer Type: Windows PC, Mac · Operating System: Windows 10 / Mac (Mojave 10.14 or Catalina 10.15) · Processor: Intel Core i3 or newer · Memory: 8GB RAM minimum, 16GB preferred · Free Disk Space: 10GB minimum, 20GB preferred · High quality headset/headphones · Private and quiet HIPAA compliant workspace.
