We are currently seeking dedicated Nurses (RN/LPN) for an engaging opportunity in a fast-paced 32-bed unit. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, providing exceptional care to patients across various age groups, including adults and geriatrics. This position requires flexibility, as Nurses may be required to float to other Med/Surg areas based on surgical schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for patients undergoing orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and oncological procedures. Adhere to nurse-patient ratios of 1:5-6, ensuring personalized care for each patient. Utilize top-notch clinical skills in managing common medications, equipment, and procedures specific to the unit, including but not limited to total joint replacements, spine surgeries, and fracture repairs. Demonstrate proficiency in IV insertion and PICC/Central Line management, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new skills as required. Preferred expertise in orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and oncological procedures, including traction, continuous passive motion (CPM), epidural/PCA pumps, feeding tubes, and wound vacs.
Qualifications
Valid RN or LPN license (State-specific). Current CEU documentation during the compliance process. Experience In Acute Care Settings Preferred. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and willingness to float as needed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Information Airway management skills preferred. Effective 01.08.2024 - 16 Hours of Unpaid Orientation. Boone Health reserves the right to call off staff for up to 36 hours in a contract.
