Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Integrity
- Oversee the ingestion and archival of subscription‑related data sets, including price changes, subscriber migrations, and new subscriber onboarding.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust ETL pipelines in SQL to ensure data is accurate, timely, and ready for analysis.
- Collaborate with upstream data partners to validate the flow of subscription change information, guaranteeing that all downstream systems receive clean, consistent data.
- Develop and enforce data quality standards, conducting regular audits to identify and resolve anomalies before they impact business operations.
Business Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with the Incident Management team, Business Operations, and Product Design to ensure remediation processes are executed correctly and customers receive appropriate refunds or credits.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications for engineering and analytics teams.
- Provide concise status updates and risk assessments to stakeholders, highlighting potential roadblocks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate cross‑functional meetings to align data initiatives with broader business objectives, ensuring that data‑driven insights are actionable.
Project & Process Leadership
- Lead project planning and scheduling for data‑related initiatives, coordinating timelines across Data, Business Operations, and Finance.
- Develop and maintain operational playbooks that standardize communication processes and streamline remediation workflows.
- Work closely with Data Product and Data Quality Engineering to design resilient data delivery mechanisms that minimize data incidents.
- Drive continuous improvement by documenting best practices, creating knowledge‑sharing resources, and mentoring junior analysts.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience building and maintaining SQL‑based ETL pipelines in a production environment.
- At least 2 years of analytical experience interpreting large data sets to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Proficiency in a statistical programming language such as Python or R, with the ability to write scripts for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Chartio) to create dashboards that communicate key metrics to non‑technical audiences.
- Strong relational skills, with a proven track record of building partnerships across engineering, product, finance, and customer support teams.
