About arenaflex

arenaflex is a leading provider of comprehensive health‑care solutions, dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient‑centered services across a network of hospitals, clinics, and community health centers. Our mission is to empower patients, families, and health‑care professionals with reliable, secure, and timely information that drives better outcomes. As a technology‑enabled organization, we blend cutting‑edge electronic health record (EHR) platforms with a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Joining arenaflex means becoming part of a purpose‑driven team that values integrity, empathy, and innovation in every interaction.

Why This Role Matters

Accurate data entry is the backbone of any modern health‑care operation. Every piece of patient information—demographics, medical history, treatment plans, and billing details—must be captured precisely to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant care delivery. As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you will directly influence the quality of clinical decisions, the speed of administrative workflows, and the overall patient experience. Your work will help clinicians focus on what they do best—healing—while you safeguard the integrity of the data that supports their practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter patient information into the electronic health records (EHR) system with a minimum accuracy rate of 99.5%.
  • Verify, update, and correct existing data to maintain completeness and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Prioritize and manage daily data‑entry queues, ensuring all tasks are completed within established service‑level agreements.
  • Organize and maintain both digital and physical files to facilitate rapid retrieval and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and administrative staff to clarify ambiguous entries and obtain missing information.
  • Conduct routine quality‑control checks, flagging discrepancies and initiating corrective actions.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scanning, filing, and document distribution, as needed.
  • Participate in periodic training sessions to stay current with EHR updates, data‑privacy regulations, and best‑practice typing techniques.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in health‑information management or related fields is a plus.
  • Demonstrated typing proficiency with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to spot and correct errors quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with basic database concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey information clearly and courteously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, fast‑paced team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and occasional overtime or weekend coverage as operational needs dictate.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and data‑security best practices.
  • Prior exposure to medical terminology, coding systems (ICD‑10, CPT), or health‑care billing processes.
  • Customer‑service experience in a health‑care or administrative setting.
  • Basic analytical skills for generating simple reports or identifying trends in data entry performance.

Core Competencies & Skills

  • Data Integrity: Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple data‑entry tasks while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying missing or inconsistent information and seeking clarification.
  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable partnering with clinicians, administrators, and IT staff to achieve shared goals.
  • Adaptability: Openness to learning new software tools, workflows, and industry regulations.
  • Professionalism: Consistent demonstration of respect, empathy, and ethical conduct in all interactions.

arenaflex invests heavily in the growth of its employees. As an entry‑level team member, you will have access to a structured onboarding program that includes:

  • Hands‑on training with seasoned health‑information specialists.
  • Certification pathways such as Certified Health‑Information Technician (CHIT) or Certified Coding Associate (CCA).
  • Monthly webinars on emerging health‑care technologies, data‑privacy updates, and best‑practice documentation.
  • Mentorship programs that pair you with senior staff to accelerate skill development and career planning.
  • Opportunities to transition into related roles—such as Medical Records Analyst, Health‑Information Coordinator, or Administrative Assistant—based on performance and interest.
