[Remote] Lead Instructional Designer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Confidential is a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company specializing in Wealth Management. They are seeking a Lead Instructional Designer to lead the design, development, and implementation of training content for their Asset & Wealth Management team, ensuring high-impact learning solutions that align with business objectives and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead instructional design projects from intake through launch, including needs analysis, design strategy, development, review cycles, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance
- Drive the design and development of high-impact learning solutions for the Asset & Wealth Management team, ensuring content supports business objectives, operational readiness, client expectations, compliance requirements, and measurable learner performance
- Lead, coach, and develop instructional designers by setting content quality expectations, providing design feedback, facilitating peer reviews, identifying skill gaps, and supporting professional growth across the instructional design team
- Serve as a consultative learning partner to internal and external stakeholders, gathering requirements, clarifying objectives, managing expectations, resolving feedback, and ensuring alignment across business groups
- Design and develop high-quality learning content using company-approved authoring tools, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training materials, virtual training assets, knowledge checks, simulations, job aids, facilitator guides, participant guides, and performance support resources
- Manage and maintain courses, curricula, learning paths, enrollments, versioning, completions, reporting, and content updates within the learning management system
- Translate complex operational processes, technical workflows, system procedures, client requirements, compliance expectations, and performance data into clear, structured, learner-centered training solutions
- Partner with Operations, Quality, IT, Workforce Management, Client Services, Human Resources, Compliance, Training, and Asset & Wealth Management stakeholders to support onboarding, process launches, system changes, policy updates, refresher training, and performance improvement initiatives
- Apply adult learning principles, instructional design models, accessibility standards, usability practices, and measurement strategies to ensure learning solutions are effective and scalable
- Establish and maintain content governance standards, including templates, naming conventions, review processes, version control, quality assurance checks, and documentation practices
- Analyze training effectiveness using LMS data, assessment results, learner feedback, operational metrics, and stakeholder input to recommend improvements and optimize learning impact
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and peer review support to instructional designers, trainers, subject matter experts, and project contributors
- Manage multiple concurrent projects in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy, quality, and stakeholder confidence
- Ensure all training materials follow applicable company standards, client requirements, brand guidelines, security expectations, and compliance obligations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, Organizational Development, Communications, Business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- Advanced experience designing and developing learning content for a BPO, contact center, customer experience, operations, technical support, financial services, Asset & Wealth Management, or similarly fast-paced business environment
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or mentoring instructional designers, including providing content review, design feedback, development guidance, and quality assurance support
- Demonstrated proficiency with eLearning authoring tools and the ability to develop interactive, polished, and technically sound learning assets
- Hands-on experience administering, maintaining, and reporting from a learning management system
- Strong ability to manage stakeholders at multiple levels, including clients, senior leaders, subject matter experts, operations partners, and cross-functional support teams
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to scope work, manage timelines, track deliverables, document decisions, and escalate risks appropriately
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information into clear, concise, learner-ready content
- Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and comfort learning new systems quickly
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience supporting large-scale new hire training, client implementations, process migrations, system launches, or transformation initiatives
- Experience with content localization, accessibility review, multimedia production, screen recording, simulation development, or knowledge management platforms
- Experience creating learning measurement strategies, dashboards, assessment plans, and post-training evaluation processes
- Familiarity with call center performance metrics, quality assurance processes, compliance training, workforce planning, operational change management, and financial services or Asset & Wealth Management operations
- Experience mentoring instructional designers, trainers, or subject matter experts through content development standards, review cycles, design governance, and continuous improvement practices
