[Remote] Sr. Software Development Engineer

They are seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer to design and develop digital software applications, analyze user needs, and enhance existing systems to improve functionality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements
  • Determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation
  • Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing
  • Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices
  • Mentor junior team members

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • Five (5) years of experience with Java, Python, or Node.js
  • Five (5) years of experience with COBOL and JCL
  • Five (5) years of experience with IBM DB2, Oracle, or Hibernate
  • Five (5) years of experience with SQL, MS Access, or MS Excel
  • Five (5) years of experience with Crystal Reports
  • Five (5) years of experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Five (5) years of experience in preparing high level designs, low level designs, test plans, and a complete project development plan
  • Five (5) years of experience in providing the estimations for enhancement and maintenance requests for applications
  • Five (5) years of experience in technical design of the business requirements
