This role is the digital front door of the dealership experience. Every email, chat, text message, phone call, and social media interaction you handle represents the first impression a customer has of arenaflex. You will be the trusted guide who helps shoppers navigate their vehicle research, answers their questions with confidence, and converts curious browsers into scheduled showroom appointments. Key Responsibilities

As an Automotive Digital Customer Engagement Specialist at arenaflex, your primary mission is to deliver an exceptional first-touch customer experience while consistently setting qualified appointments for our sales floor. Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing Inbound Digital Inquiries: Handle all incoming internet leads, emails, social media messages, text conversations, live chats, and phone inquiries with professionalism, accuracy, and urgency. You will be the first point of contact for hundreds of potential buyers each week.
  • Delivering Prompt and Professional Responses: Respond to every customer inquiry quickly, clearly, and in a well-spoken, courteous manner. Speed-to-lead is critical, and you will be expected to maintain industry-leading response times throughout the business day.
  • Guiding Vehicle Selection: Assist customers in identifying the right vehicle to meet their needs, preferences, and budget. Use your product knowledge to make confident recommendations that align with each shopper’s unique situation.
  • Understanding Internet Buyer Psychology: Demonstrate a deep understanding of how online automotive shoppers behave. Many are researching quietly, comparing options, and gathering information before they ever speak to a salesperson. You will need to conceptualize their mindset, build trust, and gently guide them toward booking an in-person vehicle demonstration at the dealership.
  • Driving Appointment Conversion: Convert digital conversations into scheduled showroom appointments. This is the core metric of success in this role, and you will be trained in proven scripts, objection-handling techniques, and follow-up cadences that maximize conversion rates.
  • Directing Customers to Resources: Point shoppers toward valuable product information resources, including online vehicle inventories, pricing tools, specification sheets, manufacturer websites, and digital brochures to support their research journey.
  • Monitoring and Responding to Email: Check email frequently throughout the day and respond to inquiries immediately. Maintaining a near real-time response rate is essential to capturing leads before they contact a competitor.
  • Coordinating With Sales and Management: Deliver inquiries, messages, and leads intended for other sales personnel and dealership departments promptly and accurately. Clear handoffs are critical to a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborating Across the Dealership: Work closely with all Sales and Management staff to ensure each customer receives a high-quality experience from their first digital touchpoint through to vehicle delivery. Teamwork is the foundation of arenaflex’s success.
  • Meeting Performance Targets: Consistently achieve or exceed individual sales quotas, appointment-setting goals, and closing percentages. Track your performance metrics, refine your approach, and celebrate your wins.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed as an Automotive Digital Customer Engagement Specialist at arenaflex, candidates must possess the following foundational qualifications:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are non-negotiable. You must be able to craft clear, professional messages across email, chat, text, and phone while maintaining a warm and confident tone.
  • Flexible Availability: Must be available to work Monday through Sunday during business hours, with shifts that may range between 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Schedules will include evenings and weekends on a rotating basis to ensure full coverage of customer inquiries.
  • Reliable Attendance: Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this role. You must be dependable, punctual, and committed to being present for your team and your customers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Comfort with web-based CRM platforms, lead management systems, and digital communication tools is also expected.
  • Time Management and Multitasking: Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills are required. You will routinely juggle multiple conversations and tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
  • Self-Motivation and Goal Orientation: Must be a self-starter with a results-driven mindset. You take ownership of your performance and consistently push yourself to exceed expectations.
  • Sales Drive: Must be able to consistently hit sales quotas and closing percentages. A background in sales, customer service, or lead conversion is highly valued.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: All applicants must be able to successfully pass pre-employment testing, which includes background checks, motor vehicle record review, drug screening, credit report review, and verification of a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out as a candidate for this role:

  • Prior experience in automotive sales, BDC (Business Development Center) operations, or inside sales
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as VinSolutions, DealerSocket, eLead, or similar platforms
  • Experience managing live chat, social media messaging, and SMS-based customer conversations
  • Working knowledge of automotive makes, models, trim levels, and features
  • Understanding of digital marketing funnels, lead nurturing, and online buyer behavior
  • Bilingual communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment
