At arenaflex, we believe that every employee is a vital part of the journey, and we invest heavily in their growth, wellbeing, and success. If you thrive in fast‑paced environments, enjoy hands‑on work, and are eager to contribute to a world‑class transportation network, the Ramp Agent role at our Seattle (SEA) hub could be your next great adventure.

Why This Role Matters – The Heartbeat of Cargo & Baggage Handling

Every flight that departs from Seattle‑Tacoma International Airport relies on a seamless flow of baggage, mail, and cargo. As a Ramp Agent, you are the frontline guardian ensuring that every piece of luggage and freight reaches its destination safely, on time, and in perfect condition. Your dedication directly impacts customer satisfaction, airline punctuality, and the overall reputation of arenaflex as a trusted carrier.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo between aircraft and the terminal using manual techniques and powered ground equipment.
  • Guide aircraft safely to and from gate positions, coordinating with pilots, dispatch, and ground control to ensure timely connections.
  • Protect cargo integrity by shielding items from damage, loss, and adverse weather conditions.
  • Operate ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, tow tractors, and cargo carts, adhering to safety protocols in congested areas.
  • Utilize baggage scanning systems and computer interfaces to verify routing accuracy and maintain real‑time tracking of each item.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs to keep the ramp operating smoothly.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet tight turnaround times, especially during peak travel periods and weather challenges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all safety signage, barriers, and markings are visible and functional.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and arenaflex policies, including SIDA badge requirements, customs seals, and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.

Work Schedule & Environment

Shifts are determined by operational demand and can range from early mornings to overnight hours. You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility based on seniority and flight patterns. The role is physically demanding, involving repetitive lifting of bags weighing 50–70 pounds, bending, standing, and walking in all weather conditions—heat, rain, snow, or wind. arenaflex provides comprehensive safety training and the necessary PPE to protect you on the job.

Compensation & Benefits – Competitive Pay and Comprehensive Perks

  • Starting hourly wage: $21.85, with regular pay increases based on experience up to 10.5 years.
  • Performance incentives and profit‑sharing programs that reward dedication and efficiency.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions up to 9 % of your salary.
  • Paid time off including a minimum of two weeks vacation for employees with 0‑4 years of service, ten paid holidays, personal days, and parental leave.
  • Health & wellness coverage encompassing medical, dental, vision, short‑ and long‑term disability, and life insurance.
  • Family care assistance such as fertility support, surrogacy and adoption aid, lactation resources, and subsidized backup care.
  • Holistic wellbeing programs offering mental‑health counseling, financial coaching, and employee assistance for you and your household.
  • Travel privileges with domestic and international space‑available flight options for you and eligible family members.
  • Career development through training, mentorship, and tuition reimbursement for certifications related to aviation operations.
  • Community engagement via worldwide partnerships focused on sustainability, carbon‑reduction initiatives, and volunteer service.
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that foster inclusion, networking, and shared interests across the organization.
  • Recognition platforms like “Unstoppable Together” that celebrate achievements and milestones.
  • Discount programs via arenaflex Perks, providing savings on car rentals, hotels, insurance, legal services, and childcare.
