: Competitive, based on experience Role Overview: This role involves conducting independent research to evaluate and improve artificial intelligence systems through systematic testing and analysis. The work directly contributes to advancing reliable AI performance by identifying weaknesses in current models and proposing structured refinements. This type of research supports the development of safer, more effective AI tools used across various sectors. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute controlled experiments to assess AI model behavior under different conditions and edge cases.
- Document findings in structured reports, including quantitative results, qualitative observations, and actionable recommendations.
- Identify recurring failure patterns or biases in AI outputs and propose targeted improvements to model architecture or training data.
- Collaborate with external contributors and academic peers to validate research hypotheses and refine methodologies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current AI research trends, including peer-reviewed papers, benchmark datasets, and evaluation frameworks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated experience designing and conducting empirical studies involving AI systems, including familiarity with reproducibility standards.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience using AI/ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and data analysis tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
- Strong background in statistical analysis, experimental design, and hypothesis testing applied to AI model evaluation.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a track record of publishing research findings in peer-reviewed venues or technical reports.
