SSAT Prep Math Teacher (Remote)
New Age Prep is seeking an experienced SSAT Upper Level Math Teacher (Remote) to teach live online small-group classes for students preparing for admission to competitive independent high schools. This is an ideal opportunity for educators who have experience with standardized test preparation, enjoy working with motivated students, and can effectively teach in a virtual classroom environment.
What You'll Do
- Teach live online SSAT Upper Level Math classes (small groups)
- Review student diagnostic and practice test results
- Develop targeted lesson plans based on student performance data
- Teach SSAT-specific math concepts and problem-solving strategies
- Help students improve accuracy, speed, and test-taking confidence
- Track student progress and provide feedback to our academic team
Topics Covered Students will take a diagnostic SSAT practice test, and curriculum will be customized based on class performance and identified skill gaps. Topics may include:
- Algebra and linear equations
- Ratios, proportions, and percentages
- Geometry (angles, triangles, circles, area, volume)
- Coordinate geometry
- Probability and statistics
- Exponents and roots
- Number properties
- Word problems
- Quantitative reasoning
- Data analysis and interpretation
Qualifications
Required
- Experience teaching or tutoring SSAT, ISEE, SAT, ACT, SHSAT, or similar standardized tests
- Strong understanding of SSAT Upper Level Math content
- Experience teaching groups of students (online or in-person)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Preferred
- Teaching certification
- Classroom teaching experience
- Degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience working with high-achieving middle and high school students
