Position Overview

The Product Operations Specialist at arenaflex is responsible for the execution and ongoing maintenance of our portfolio of land vendor products. This includes hotels, rental cars, ground transfers, travel insurance, and various ancillary offerings. In this role, you will be entrusted with the initial setup of vendor contract rules, pricing structures, and inventory allocations, as well as the continuous management of promotional pricing changes and value-added offerings. Your work will directly ensure that all product information is accurately and promptly displayed across every distribution channel, guaranteeing that arenaflex customers receive the highest quality service and accurate product delivery.

Operating as a key contributor within the product operations ecosystem, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service to drive operational excellence and resolve complex vendor-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Profile and Inventory Management

  • Create and maintain comprehensive land vendor profiles within the chain management system, ensuring all vendor settlement information, parent and chain relationships, and inventory allocations are accurately documented and updated.
  • Set up and manage all pricing rules, selling guidelines, and contractual terms for every direct land vendor partnership.
  • Configure and maintain operational rules and connectivity standards for all electronically linked vendors across the distribution network.

Destination and Product Expansion

  • Manage the end-to-end land product workflow for new destination launches, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems and channels.
  • Monitor competitive landscape within the land products sector and recommend strategic pricing adjustments and margin strategies to maintain market competitiveness.

Technology and Vendor Relations

  • Participate actively in troubleshooting chain management system technology issues and collaborate with third-party technology partners as needed.
  • Act as a primary point of contact with third-party suppliers to resolve integration and operational challenges.
  • Provide accurate pricing and destination information to the marketing team for use in promotional materials and customer-facing content.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Product Development team on individual vendor issues requiring clarification or resolution, including assistance with hotel oversell situations.
  • Support other arenaflex departments with inquiries or issues related to destinations and land product offerings.
  • Provide operational support and customer resolution assistance for land products as required.

Strategic Planning and Reporting

  • Collaborate with Product Development to develop and meet annual sales timelines and open-for-sale objectives.
  • Assist the Product Operations Coordinator with hotel inventory management, land reporting, and various tasks as needed.
  • Support emergency management efforts during catastrophic events and crisis situations affecting travel operations.
  • Establish and foster trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking capabilities with a proven ability to develop effective, logical solutions to complex operational challenges.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as a collaborative team member.
  • Self-motivated with a strong internal drive to achieve results and continuously improve processes.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and confidently to senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required.
