Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Customer Retention & Sales Specialist to join our dynamic arenaflex team. In this role you will act as a Retention Specialist, handling inbound calls from customers who are considering canceling their arenaflex services. Your mission is to listen, empathize, and transform potential churn into renewed loyalty by offering tailored solutions, upselling relevant products, and delivering an award‑winning experience that keeps customers safe and satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of inbound calls from customers expressing intent to cancel arenaflex services.
  • Diagnose the root cause of cancellation requests through active listening and targeted questioning.
  • Present customized retention offers, including rate adjustments, billing credits, equipment upgrades, and additional security features.
  • Utilize a suite of more than ten internal tools to negotiate, document, and close retention deals in real time.
  • Maintain a calm, compassionate, and professional demeanor on every call, especially during escalated or emotionally charged interactions.
  • Document all customer interactions accurately in the arenaflex CRM, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly retention targets while contributing to overall sales goals.
  • Continuously improve performance through coaching, peer feedback, and self‑directed learning.
  • Stay current on arenaflex product updates, security industry trends, and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations.
  • Participate in mandatory onsite training at our Irving, TX campus for 8‑12 weeks, followed by ongoing virtual learning modules.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales‑oriented call‑center environment, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding retention and upsell targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex, high‑stress calls and turn objections into opportunities.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude for quick calculations, discounting, and contract adjustments.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 15 Mbps upload) and a dedicated, distraction‑free home workspace.
  • Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with multiple simultaneous software applications and the ability to quickly learn new platforms.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in home‑security, smart‑home, or related technology sales.
  • Familiarity with contract interpretation and the ability to clearly explain terms to customers.
  • Certification in conflict resolution, de‑escalation, or customer‑experience excellence.
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development through training, mentorship, or industry certifications.

  • Starting hourly wage of $18.00, with incremental increases of $0.50 every 30 days until reaching $21.00 after 180 days.
