About the Role

In this exciting role, you'll be the voice of arenaflex, engaging with customers over the phone to provide personalized support and solutions. You'll be the go-to expert for all things pet-related, from helping customers find the perfect toy to resolving any issues that may arise. We're not looking for script-readers or order-takers; we're searching for individuals who can think critically, empathize with our customers, and provide genuine support. If you have a love for pets, that's a definite bonus! As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be working in a fast-paced environment, navigating multiple systems, and collaborating with your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with customers to address a wide range of topics, from shopping for new pets to problem-solving and finding the perfect chew toy
  • Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customers, thinking proactively and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution
  • Operate with understanding, utilizing active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness to customers and team members alike
  • Collaborate with teammates, your direct Manager, and other team members across various levels of the organization using virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and webcams
  • Contribute to an infectious customer-centric culture of collaboration, sharing feedback, and operating with an open-minded approach to growth and development

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening), demonstrated through a written assessment
  • Ability to multi-task, navigating computer systems while maintaining a conversation on the phone and taking notes
  • Proficiency in using computers for data entry, rapid navigation through systems, and internet searches to support customers
  • Ability to adapt to change, flexibility to shift schedules, and work overtime as needed by the business unit
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Familiarity with pet care or the pet industry
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or other customer service platforms
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Technical Requirements To work remotely with arenaflex, you'll need:

  • A dedicated workspace that's large enough to accommodate computer monitors and free from distractions, including background noise
  • A reliable wired, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/ 10Mbps+ upload speed)
  • A cell phone or tablet for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify
  • A webcam for virtual collaboration and communication
