Join VIQ Solutions, a leading provider of transcription services, as we adapt to the evolving technology-driven landscape of legal and judicial agencies. We are seeking skilled Legal/Judicial contract professionals with extensive experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This position is entirely remote, allowing independent contractors the flexibility to manage their own schedules. Key Responsibilities  Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and various judicial proceedings.  Process audio recordings with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring adherence to style guides for verbatim transcripts.  Collaborate with our supportive in-office team for guidance and assistance when required. Required Skills  Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential.  Exceptional listening abilities and adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides.  Strong literacy skills, encompassing comprehension, spelling, and grammar.  Proficiency in typing with both speed and accuracy.  Capability to handle extreme audio/text content, which may be sensitive or offensive.  Familiarity with legal terminology is beneficial.  A background check is required for all candidates.  Court reporting students may also be considered for this role. Qualifications  Significant experience in legal transcription, particularly in transcribing depositions and hearings, is necessary.  Candidates must possess excellent literacy and listening skills alongside a keen attention to detail.
