  • Process policyholder requests—including claim status inquiries, payment adjustments, and policy updates—accurately and within established service level agreements.
  • Maintain and continuously improve knowledge of arenaflex’s insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document all interactions in the company’s CRM system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy standards.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, suggest procedural enhancements, and contribute to the development of best‑practice documentation.
  • Adhere to departmental performance metrics such as average handle time, first‑call resolution, and call quality scores.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, webinars, and coaching calls to stay current on product changes and industry trends.
  • Maintain a professional, calm demeanor during high‑stress situations, employing tact and problem‑solving skills to de‑escalate concerns.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors and cross‑functional teams regarding recurring customer issues or gaps in policy information.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of office or customer‑service experience; prior exposure to telecommunications or call‑center environments is a plus.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Familiarity with life and health insurance terminology, claim processes, and policy administration is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using standard PC applications (Microsoft Office, web browsers) and able to type at least 30 words per minute.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong listening abilities and the capacity to convey complex information in simple terms.
  • Analytical Ability: Demonstrated mathematical aptitude and the ability to interpret numeric data, policy codes, and claim figures accurately.
  • Confidentiality: Proven track record of handling sensitive personal and financial information with discretion.
  • Attendance: Reliable, predictable attendance and the ability to work scheduled shifts (full‑time or part‑time) consistently.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience in a remote work setting, including self‑discipline, time‑management, and a dedicated home office space.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools, policy updates, and regulatory changes.
  • Strong decision‑making skills, with the capacity to analyze situations, weigh options, and reach logical conclusions under pressure.
  • Physical capability to use a telephone headset and computer for extended periods, and to reach above shoulder level when handling equipment.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: A genuine desire to help people and resolve their concerns efficiently.
  • Active Listening: Ability to hear, understand, and respond to the underlying needs of callers.
