[Remote] Project Manager II
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. American Interstate Signcrafters (AIS) is seeking a Project Manager II to lead the execution of complex, multi-site signage and branding programs. This role is responsible for full lifecycle project ownership, including financial performance, client communication, vendor management, and program execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of multi-site signage programs from kickoff through closeout
- Manage schedules, milestones, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
- Ensure alignment with brand standards, design intent, and program requirements
- Identify and mitigate risks before they impact timelines or budgets
- Own project financial performance including cost tracking, forecasting, and profitability
- Manage invoicing, revenue recognition, WIP, and billing in alignment with internal processes
- Ensure projects meet or exceed margin expectations
- Source, evaluate, and manage subcontractors and vendors across multiple markets
- Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project scope and timelines
- Negotiate and manage vendor performance to align with program goals
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
- Provide proactive updates, solutions, and recommendations
- Build strong relationships by adding value and improving program outcomes
- Manage expectations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Identify opportunities to improve execution, efficiency, and scalability
- Contribute to the development of internal processes and best practices
- Mentor and support junior project managers and coordinators
- Analyze program performance and recommend strategic improvements
Skills
- 4–7+ years of project management experience in the sign industry
- Strong understanding of project financials including cost, revenue, margin, and WIP
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and installation workflows
- Ability to manage complex projects across multiple locations simultaneously
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently
- Proficiency in Excel and project management tools (Smartsheet, ERP systems such as NetSuite preferred)
