[Remote] Senior Cloud Security Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer for their Cloud & Product Security Engineering team. This role focuses on building security controls and automating security processes in cloud environments, specifically within AWS.
Responsibilities
- Building AWS security controls with CDK and CloudFormation
- Automating and tuning WAF deployments through IaC
- Writing Python and JavaScript tooling
- Embedding security guardrails directly into CI/CD pipelines
- Partnering with engineering teams to build secure-by-default platforms
Skills
- Strong Python and JavaScript development
- AWS CDK and CloudFormation in production environments
- WAF automation and engineering (not just console administration)
- Deep Linux/infrastructure background
- AWS networking, IAM, and cloud architecture
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK from an engineering perspective
- Linux Systems Engineering
- LAMP/Web Infrastructure
- DevOps / Platform Engineering
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
