[Remote] Business Development Representative (BDR)

MeridianLink is a growing fintech company serving banks and credit unions nationwide, and they are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth by helping financial institutions discover smarter ways to serve their customers. The BDR will connect with prospective customers, uncover business challenges, and create high-quality opportunities for the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Engage new prospects through a mix of inbound leads and targeted outbound outreach
- Identify, qualify, and develop sales opportunities that align with MeridianLink’s solutions
- Partner closely with Account Executives to move qualified opportunities forward
- Ask thoughtful questions to understand a prospect’s business challenges, priorities, and buying stage
- Educate prospects by sharing relevant insights, resources, and product capabilities
- Maintain accurate activity and opportunity tracking in CRM tools
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive offerings, and the financial services landscape
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a customer-facing role
- Strong communication skills, you're comfortable talking with senior-level stakeholders
- Curiosity and coachability; you want feedback and use it to get better
- Ability to balance activity with thoughtful, personalized outreach to uncover real business needs
- Skilled in handling rejection and navigating objections
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
